Yes. Payments are processed through a secure payment provider, and funds are only released to a tutor's wallet once you mark the lesson as completed — the tutor doesn't get paid until you confirm the lesson happened.
A tutor's very first booking on OsunTutors has no agent fee at all — 0%. From the second booking onward, a flat 10% is deducted automatically when the customer pays. Tutors never have to calculate or invoice anything.
Any time their wallet balance is at least ₦1,000 — there's no large threshold to wait for. Withdrawals go straight to the tutor's bank account from their "Me" tab.
Yes. When booking, choose "in-home" and your tutor will come to you. You can also choose "online" for lessons over video call.
No. Anyone can book a lesson on OsunTutors — students booking for themselves, working adults learning a new skill, or parents booking for their children.
Yes. Every tutor profile has a chat button so you can ask about availability, teaching style, or anything else before you commit. Swearing and threats are automatically blocked — OsunTutors is an educational platform for everyone, including younger students.
After a completed lesson, customers can rate a tutor out of 5 stars and pick from a few quick options describing how it went — no typing required, though you can add your own comment too. Every tutor's average rating and number of reviews is shown right on their profile.
You can reschedule for free if you do it with enough notice. Cancelling too close to a lesson's start time means the tutor still receives payment, since they've already set that time aside for you.
Every tutor is reviewed by an OsunTutors agent before going live. Tutors can also upload documents like degree certificates, NYSC certificates, or ID — approved documents earn a "Verified ID" badge that's visible to families browsing.
